The guide has step by step instructions for servicing the camera and covers both cleaning, old foam removal and servicing of the shutter complete with authors notes explaining some of the operation and tips and tricks for repair. Containing 189 pages with hundreds of photographs including high resolution reference pictures and detailed descriptions covering all of the work required to service and CLA the Canon FTb.
You will require good quality JIS screwdrivers, tools suitable for micro works such as tweezers and pliers, a lower powered (18W) soldering iron and ideally a calibrated light source and shutter tester capable of measuring curtain travel times to tune the camera.
