The guide has step by step instructions for servicing the Minolta XG-M and covers both cleaning, old foam removal and servicing of the shutter complete with detailed authors notes explaining some of the operations and tips and tricks for repair. Containing 130 pages with hundreds of photographs including high resolution reference pictures and detailed descriptions covering all of the work required to service and CLA the Minolta XG-M.
You will require good quality JIS screwdrivers, and some tools for fine work plus a lower powered (18W) soldering iron and ideally a calibrated light source and shutter tester capable of measuring curtain travel times to tune the camera.
